Step-2 (Powder-coating)

The second step is the application of the electrostatic powder coat. Two layers are applied to the frame, one after another.

The frame is kept under UV radiation to seal the finish.

Are the handles of a strongman log bar knurled?

Different manufacturers have different types of products. Some have knurling on the handles, while others don’t.

Knurling on the handles ensures a firm grip. It also prevents slipping & wrist strain. 

The knurling on strongman log bars is of medium-level. Strongman log bars with knurling are better for commercial gyms.

The types of Olympic plates compatible with strongman log bars are:

• Olympic bumper plates.
• Olympic training plates
• Tri-grip Olympic weight plates

• Olympic steel weight plates
• Technique Olympic weight plates. 

These are all plates with 2-inch center holes. The diameter for the weight sleeve on a strongman log bar is 2-inches, as well.
